Started his carreer in 1984 as member of the Fire Department (FD) Loerrach, since 1996 also member of the FD Ruemmingen. During this time until 2004 he attended numerous special professional trainings for fire fighters, such as trainings for instructors, group and platoon leaders, fire chiefs, etc.

After completion of professional training in 1979 entry in employment as fire fighter/civil servant. During services promoted to higher grades between 1989 to 1999 from simple fireman to sergeant and ultimately to master sergeant first class.
Obtained training during service in various fields such as engine mechanic, fire brigade directing centre, turning ladders and disaster control.
Presently serving in Abu Dhabi as fire fighting supervisor.

After completion of higher secondary certificate in 2000, acquired professional qualification of technical specialist. Obtained training in fire fighting during military service.
Since 1997 attachment as volunteer in the fire brigade of Erfurt/Mittelhausen. Obtained further qualifications as fireman leader, group leader, radio operator, in breathing protection and as a mechanic.
Since 2003 serving in Abu Dhabi as fire fighter.
